About Fine Art Analytics

Welcome! My name is Michael ‘Mick’ Collison, I'm the founder of Fine Art Analytics. My journey to this business is a unique one, bringing together my lifelong passion for art with a career built on meticulous research, investigation and financial analysis.

It all started with a camera. From the moment I received my first one at the age of eight, I was fascinated by the power of a single image—the details, the composition, the story it could tell. From a young age I had hobbies both creating art and as a photographer. This passion led me to work as a photographer, honing my ability to see the world not just as it is, but for its nuances and hidden value.

After years behind the lens, I embarked on a different path, entering a dynamic career in research, investigation, and later, finance. I rose through the ranks at a leading investigative agency and later served as the Western Region Vice President for the Collateral Management Division of one of the largest banks in the country. In these roles, I developed a sharp, analytical mind, learning to uncover critical information, assess value, and manage complex assets with precision.

Fine Art Analytics is the fusion of these two worlds—the culmination of my eye for art and my expertise in detailed analysis. I founded this company to provide a service that combines artistic insight with the rigor of professional research.
